Customer acknowledges that moving totes and dollies involve physical activity that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to strains, falls, and property damage. Customer assumes full responsibility for the safe and proper use of all rented equipment by themselves, household members, helpers, movers, or any third party granted access to the equipment during the rental period.
Redding Tote Rentals, its owners, employees, and agents are not liable for any personal injury, bodily harm, property damage, or loss of any kind arising from the use or misuse of rented totes, dollies, or any related equipment. This includes injuries to the Customer, any helpers, or bystanders.
By accepting these terms, Customer voluntarily releases and holds harmless Redding Tote Rentals from any and all claims, demands, actions, or liability related to the use of rented equipment. Customer is solely responsible for using equipment in a safe and reasonable manner and for ensuring that all persons using the equipment are capable of doing so safely.
Customer is responsible for returning all rented equipment in the same condition it was received, allowing for reasonable wear from normal packing and unpacking use. Damage from misuse, overloading, dropping, or neglect is not considered normal wear.
Damage fees apply as follows:

Redding Tote Rentals will assess equipment condition upon pickup. Customer will be notified of any damage charges within 48 hours of pickup and charges will be applied to the original payment method on file. Customer may dispute damage charges by contacting us within 5 business days of notification.
If any tote or dolly is not made available for pickup at the agreed pickup date and location, the following missing equipment fees apply:
Replacement charges will be applied to the original payment method within 5 business days of the missed pickup. Redding Tote Rentals reserves the right to pursue recovery of unreturned equipment.
Purchase Option: If Customer wishes to purchase the totes outright rather than returning them, they may contact Redding Tote Rentals prior to the scheduled pickup date. Purchase pricing will be quoted based on quantity, condition, and subject to availability. Purchased totes become the property of the Customer and no pickup will be scheduled. This option must be arranged in advance — purchase arrangements not confirmed prior to the scheduled pickup date and time are still subject to weekly extension fees as outlined in Section 4.
The rental period begins on the confirmed delivery date and ends on the agreed pickup date. Customer is responsible for having all totes and equipment accessible and ready for pickup during the agreed pickup window.
If Customer needs additional rental time, they must contact Redding Tote Rentals at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup to arrange an extension. Extensions are granted in one-week increments and priced on a prorated basis derived from the original package price (original package price ÷ rental weeks = weekly rate). Extension charges will be applied to the original payment method on file.
Equipment not made available for pickup at the scheduled pickup date and time will be treated as an automatic one-week extension and charged at the prorated weekly rate derived from the original package price. Additional weekly extension charges will continue to apply until all equipment is recovered, in addition to any applicable damage or replacement fees.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Partial refunds for the 24–48 hour window reflect preparation and scheduling costs incurred on our end.
All refunds — including full refunds — are subject to a non-refundable payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) charged by our payment processor. This fee is not retained by Redding Tote Rentals and cannot be recovered once a transaction is processed.
Customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery and pickup addresses are accessible to our vehicle and personnel during the agreed time window. If delivery or pickup cannot be completed due to inaccessibility, locked gates, incorrect address, or no-show, a re-delivery or re-pickup fee will apply to both delivery and pickup attempts equally.
Redding Tote Rentals will contact Customer by call or text approximately 30 minutes before arrival. Customer or a designated adult (18+) must be present to receive delivery or release equipment at pickup.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be resolved in Shasta County, California. If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
By checking the acknowledgment box during the booking process, Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions stated in this agreement.
Customer confirms they are at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to enter into this agreement. Checking the acknowledgment box constitutes acceptance of this agreement and is binding upon the Customer.
